Board of Directors National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation
The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation is an independent organization, established with an initial fund of $50 million from the National Sixties Scoop Settlement. We work together as a survivor-led team of volunteers on a series of recommendations to accompany Survivors on their journey to healing.
The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation is currently seeking nominations from its community members to fill positions for the Board of 10 Directors. The SSHF strives to be representative to all members within Canada. SSHF is seeking members who reflect the diversity of the survivors within Canada. We welcome Board Members with a diverse background.
Potential Members must meet the following requirements • An understanding of the history and issues faced by the Sixties Scoop Survivor community • One year of not-for-profit board experience • Proficiency in English • Must be a survivor of the Sixties Scoop • Join one committee • Must be willing to volunteer up to 10 hours per month • Attend monthly Board and committee meetings
While we do not have any current openings at this time, we are happy to hear from interested individuals and will keep people’s information on file for when opportunities emerge. The SSHF will be hiring additional senior executive staff in the future. Please email your interest to: sshfhumanresources@gmail.com.
